Chapter Three
ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PURPOSE

The purpose that God has for your life is so much more important than the mistakes you make in life. I can recall a time in my Christian walk when I thought that when I made a mistake God altered His plan for me. I walked in constant failure and conviction, because in my own strength I could never be what He wanted me to be. As I have matured as a Christian, I have learned that what God does is not contingent upon what I do. He is God--He knows us better than we know ourselves because he knows our end.

When you acknowledge purpose, God's ear is turned toward you to perform what He has placed in you to do. Acknowledgment or faith in purpose pleases God. Faith is what God uses to bring the unseen into the visible realm. God's purpose is not possible or even conceivable in your own ability. Many people believe that purpose has an ultimate destination, but purpose is a way of life. It's acknowledging the Creator everyday and recognizing that He has given you life for a particular reason. When you are in the will of God, you are walking in purpose. You can never say, "I've arrived at purpose". It is a continuous journey of being where God wants you to be at various seasons of your life, and reaping the blessings that come at every phase.
